So…I had this problem. As a blogger, I would ALWAYS have trouble finding images for my site.

That seems hard to believe, seeing’s how there’s SOOO much stock photography out there, right?!

And some of it IS genuinely really good. Very pretty images. I’ve found a couple sites that I’ve been able to use and squeak by over the years, but something in my gut, always just felt “off”, if that makes sense.

Like it wasn’t MINE. There was no ownership there, no heartfelt attachment to the images. It was just something to put up on the blog because posts need images. 💯 And I’ve felt that way for 12 years (!), since I started blogging.

Never anticipating I could do something about it.

But as I started to learn graphic design (self-taught) over the years, and the more I practice it, and especially since I got a Mac instead of a PC, I get better at it, create more, the more I see my skills improving every day. I’m gonna cry. 🥹

These images, THESE, I feel personally connected to! 🥰🤗

Why?

Because I made them myself!

I’m still learning, I’m still growing and practicing, but what I’ve created today came out so great and I’m so proud of them and love them so much.

I hope that whatever stage you’re in, whether you’re just starting out in your design and projects, or you’ve been doing it for years and are upping your game, I pray that you continue and you find love in what you do. 🎉
