Do you ever think about how much in life is about numbers?
- Your SSN
- The date
- How old you are
- The balance in your bank account
- Your measurements
Life is full of numbers.
Some people have the wrong numbers.
Some people have the right numbers.
But it seems like to me, it all comes down to numbers. I walk into my bank and they don’t ask me what my NAME is…they ask what’s my account NUMBER.
To the world, we’re just a number. People in your life will treat you badly, like you don’t matter. They won’t take you seriously, even though you run your guts out to be the best Christian you can possibly be.
But to God, you’re a person. I’m a person. I’m Sarah.
He sees. He knows.
I don’t know what your numbers are, but I do know that you’re not a number to me. You’re a living, breathing amazing person. You’re a soul. And that matters. To me, to God, and it should matter to you as well.
Don’t let the world tell you that you’re just a number.
You were fashioned in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), God says.
He took great care to create you.
He has a unique and special plan just for you (Ephesians 2:10).
Isn’t it cool that we have a God who loves us so much, that He should know us by NAME?!
When we pray, He doesn’t say, “Oh yes, number 1,047,254,454,656,234.” “He says, “Oh yes, Sarah, my daughter.”
Your Father loves you SOOOO much more than you can ever imagine. You are His and He is yours. It’s a special bond, an intimate bond. Never forget how special you are to Him. When the doubts come, when feelings of inadequacy creep up, knock them outta the park and leave them there.
You are His special child whom He loves VERY much!!!
Stay close to people in this world who treat you like a person, not a number. ❤️
