There is a company called Babel Audio specializing in high-quality audio content, including audiobooks, podcasts, and voice-over recordings.  They connect talented individuals with businesses and creators.  Babel Audio focuses on delivering immersive and engaging auditory experiences.  Whether you’re a voice actor, sound engineer, translator, or editor, Babel Audio offers a variety of opportunities that cater to creative professionals, freelancers, and technical experts alike.

Presently, they are recruiting remote workers to have conversations with people for 15 minutes at a time.  You get to choose the topic of the conversation and the time that works best for you.  These conversations are used to build AI training datasets which are used by technology companies to build the next generation of audio and speech AI models.  So you are essentially helping to train and improve the future of AI models.

How many hours will I be required to work?

It is very flexible allowing you to pick your own hours.  You decide how much or how little you want to work.

What kind of equipment will I need?

You will need a smartphone to engage in these 15-minute conversations.

How much will I make?

Babel Audio pays at least $17.50 per recorded hour.  The pay will vary depending on the project but the most you will make is $30 per recorded hour.  Payday is twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.

What is the application process like?

You will first submit a short application form including a questionnaire and then be required to record a 3-minute clip.  The last step is to read over the freelancer agreement.  The whole application process will take you less than 10 minutes to complete.  Then you will wait to hear back from their team which should take no more than 3 days.  Some people hear back within a day!
