As a single mom who has been homeless, abandoned and divorced after 14 years of marriage (him going off and having 6 affairs and multiple children with multiple women), physically abused by my mom growing up and by my ex-husband, and countless other things I’ve dealt with in my life, I of all people know how important hope is.
Without hope, I wouldn’t have gotten through all that. Without Christ, I would just be another statistic instead of the thriving woman I am today. Someone who is greatly blessed, has her kids, and a world to serve, and lives an affluent life (I make $2.7 million dollars a year, believe it or not). God is very good to me.
You take someone who went from being homeless to making so much money now, someone beaten and abused to an innovative leader in her niche, and you’ll find someone with GREAT HOPE!
The source of that hope is none other than Jesus Christ.
He decided to sovereignly save me (after I got out of the homeless shelter), nine years ago. He gave me a good life in my obedience to Him. And that hope that I hold in my hand, is one of the most precious gifts I can give to anyone else!!!
So many times I’m asked, “HOW did you make it through all that?!”
My answer is HOPE. Holding onto Christ, holding onto what we know is true of Him. He says He does all things for our good, but do we spend enough time really thinking about that…believing it…writing it on our hearts?
We should!
Because our beliefs…our hope…is what ultimately gets us out of bed in the morning and without hope, we are nothing and we have nothing.
For that reason, I’ve created this beautiful Hope Coloring Binder. It’s a Christian devotions for women.
