France’s Juisci, a HealthTech startup that transforms the way healthcare professionals consume scientific knowledge, has secured €5.5 million in Seed funding in order to boost R&D, scale its team, and accelerate international expansion, with a strong focus on the U.S. market.
The round was led by Big Pi Ventures, with participation from Ring Capital, Bpifrance, and strategic business angels.
“Doctors don’t need more information – they need quick, trustworthy access to science. Juisci gives them back time and confidence, while enabling organizations to unlock the full value of scientific data,” said Robin Roumengas, Co-founder & CEO of Juisci.
Founded in 2021 by Robin Roumengas and Dr David Luu, Juisci is a SaaS platform that democratises access to scientific knowledge through proprietary AI and a mobile-first experience. Its mission is to help healthcare professionals save time, fight misinformation, and leverage science to advance medical progress.
Today, Juisci counts 200,000+ users in 60 countries and 10 languages, and reportedly works with leading pharmaceutical companies, MedTech firms, consumer healthcare players, animal health leaders, hospitals, and scientific societies.
“Juisci transforms a massive volume of scientific data into actionable, dynamic insights for healthcare professionals. We believe it will become an indispensable ally to the medical community worldwide,” said Guy Krief, Partner at Big Pi Ventures.
Medical knowledge is exploding – doubling every 73 days. For doctors and healthcare organisations, the flood of complex publications is nearly impossible to keep up with. Juisci aims to address this challenge with the first AI trained specifically on scientific literature, reportedly turning vast volumes of research into clear, reliable, and engaging knowledge delivered through an intuitive mobile app.
The platform provides digestible summaries, article recommendations, videos, podcasts, and infographics, helping over 200,000 healthcare professionals in 60 countries save up to 8 hours a week while staying on top of the latest research.
In just four years, Juisci has won over 30 major clients including Sanofi, UCB, Takeda, bioMérieux, Johnson & Johnson, Air Liquide, L’Oréal, Opella, Royal Canin, as well as hospitals and scientific societies such as the National Academy of Surgery, Dijon University Hospital, and the European Society of Radiology.
